John Perkins Self Defense Systems

Since 1978 John Perkins has been teaching martial arts in New York where he founded the martial arts / self defense system now know as: Guided Chaostrademark, Martial Realiststrademark, Fit 4 Fightingtrademark, Too Late to Tap Outtrademark, Native American Ground Fightingtrademark, Bare Hands to Handgunstrademark, No Officer Downtrademark, Ki Chuan Dotrademark, Ghostfisttrademark, and Close Combat Karatetrademark. He is the chief author of best selling self defense book Attack Proof: The Ultimate Guide to Personal Protection. He teaches his own brand of Martial Arts in the New York, Tri-State Area, Nationally, and Internationally.

John Perkins Martial Realist

Martial Realists (tm): Martial Arts and Self Defense instruction and products under the supervision and ownership of John Perkins and his self defense system. The term Martial Realism was first used in 1978 with N.E.A.T.S. Martial Realists (tm) is an adaptation of that term.

Ki Chuan Do (tm): The way of the spirit fist. KCD is the first formless martial art. John Perkins began teaching his own principle based self defense system in August of 1978 and called it Ki Chuan Do (tm).

Ghostfist (tm): Ghostfist (tm) was first used in 1980 as an alternative name for KCD mostly to show to show Native American background of John Perkins martial art.

Guided Chaos (tm): Guided Chaos (tm) is an alternative name to the martial art and self defense system KCD, depicting more emphasis on controlling chaotic fighting. It was first used in 1998.

Attack Proof (tm): The original name for John Perkins book -- Co Authored by Al Ridenhour and Matt Kovsky was "In the Eye of the Storm". Then name Attack Proof (tm) was insisted upon by the book's publisher and has since been used by John Perkins Self Defense Systems in many ways since 2000.

Fit for Fighting (R): Fit4Fighting (R) is made for Women only. Varied programs for self defense and life style development are lead by John Perkins top female instructor -- Killeen Good, Certified Personal Trainer & 4th Degree Guided Chaos Instructor. 2007.

Native American Ground Fighting (tm): A martial arts method of fighting on the ground, enabling a person to not get caught up grappling. Instead a better method of striking with the feet or whole body is used. Native American Ground Fighting (tm) is a part of KCD and has been utilized since 1978. See attackproof.com for more.

North East Arms Training Systems (tm): Was a self defense training group lead by John Perkins beginning in 1978. It was an adaptation of KDC fighting principles to handguns, knives and sticks. Most members were Police from YPD, NYPD, and Westchester County Police Departments.

No Officer Down (tm): Is a course designed for Police and Law Enforcement only. The course teaches Officers how to fight in last ditch situations when all other sanctioned methods fail. The course was first offered in 1982.

Bare Hands to Handguns (tm): Is a course teaching how to transition from bare hands fighting to acquiring sidearm, including point shooting and military close combat.

Too Late to Tap Out (R): 2008 - Used for a shirt and other advertising showing the difference between sport and real fighting.

Close Combat Karate (tm): Is a portion of KCD limited to Close Quarters Combat only, and using some internal KCD dropping principles. Close Combat Karate is advanced application of WWII combative or Krav Maga (Krav Maga is independent and not affiliated with John Perkins Self Defense Systems) etc.
